What makes our lives more beautiful

Lifestyle products are functional accessories that are both practical and beautiful. So far – so good, our
Like a phoenix from the ashes – Möhrle Silber Germany after the company fire
We, the Möhrle Silber Germany team, always remember that day of disaster on May 7, exactly ten years ago. A large part of our company building was destroyed, the shock was enormous and there were so many questions at the same time….
But luckily for us, nobody was injured and just six months later we were able to start rebuilding and today we are delighted with the successful comeback of our silver manufactory.
The following article from the Schwäbisch Gmünd Volunteer Fire Brigade’s information sheet, no. 51 June 2013, shows the scale of the fire disaster:
Professional craftsmanship: step by step to perfection II
There is certainly a wide range of ordinary, industrially produced silver-plated candle holders. Not with us: MÖHRLE SILBER GERMANY has been producing exclusively unique pieces in 925 Sterling silver for over 125 years, always traditionally handcrafted and always in perfect quality. Today we are once again in the silversmith’s workshop with Walter Iwaniw, holding a candlestick from our collection. Here he is trimming the solder joints, one of the many steps in the production of our candlesticks. The handcrafted production of unique real silver pieces requires a lot of time and skill, great dexterity and precise care, as well as a keen eye to spot any surface irregularities.
Professional craftsmanship: step by step to perfection
Jewelry was made from gold and silver wire in Egypt as early as the 3rd century BC, the jade garments of the Han dynasty in China were sewn with such wires and in the Middle Ages, filigree Celtic knots were made from silver wire. These endless knots have neither beginning nor end, their loops can be traced endlessly and symbolize infinity and the eternal cycle of life. In our MÖHRLE SILBER GERMANY manufactory, we use silver wire to produce classic thread edges. In keeping with tradition, our silversmith Walter Iwaniw produces a classic thread rim for our real silver place settings in individual, elaborate steps. First, the solid hand-drawn silver wire is stretched on the drawing bench. It must then be annealed and sawn by hand. Now it is beaten round and then adjusted. Finally, it is placed on the placemat and finally soldered on. Our real silver placemats add sophistication to your table setting and serve a practical purpose at the same time. Unlike placemats made of fabric or bamboo, they are easy to clean and add a touch of elegance to your tableware. And another big plus: real silver placemats are wonderfully easy to combine and yet give every table a stylish upgrade. Teresa shows our hammered model with matching napkin ring.
Sparkling moments in sterling silver
Who doesn’t want a little Christmas magic with sparkle and glitter? A fairytale atmosphere and romance? Flickering candlelight reflected in our real silver candlesticks? No fairy lights can do that.
The first evidence of a candlestick was found during excavations in Greece in papyrus letters, probably dating from the 2nd to 3rd century AD. In ancient Rome, bronze candlesticks, a very expensive material at the time, were considered a status symbol for wealthy citizens.
Christmas shopping – fast and convenient at MÖHRLE SILBER GERMANY
Looking for the perfect Christmas gift? For men and women? Then we suggest our handmade cigarette case made of 925 sterling silver, it is chic, smart and practical.
Exclusive and high-quality cigarette cases have a long tradition: Fabergé, the tsar’s jeweler, mainly known for its Fabergé eggs, produced exquisite cases made of silver, gold and precious stones for the tsar’s family.
The silver cigarette case belonging to Joseph Bruce Ismay, the president of the White Star Line, was found by a sailor in one of the lifeboats of the sunken Titanic. In reminiscence, the valet, Mr. Lovejoy, uses a cigarette case in the film version.
And in many James Bond films, the cigarette case is part of the basic equipment as a luxurious must-have for the gentleman. In front of our manufactory, our employee Ercan shows the stylish eye-catcher with our real silver lighter case for BIC lighters. We think this is a luxurious Christmas gift idea that is guaranteed to stand out from the crowd.
Declared a top priority
Today you are back in the workshop of our MÖHRLE SILBER GERMANY manufactory, where the boss himself is sometimes at the press bench and produces a silver cup or parts for our many chandeliers from the silver blank. For us, perfect craftsmanship is a top priority and we are fully committed to tradition.
